DENTAL BRACES


                                                                              
Dental braces are the device used by dentist and mainly by the orthodontics to make the teeth in proper alignment and help also place them with respect to a person's bite, it aims to improve dental health and it also fixes the gaps.

Braces can be of 4 types: -

  •        Metal braces/Traditional braces
  •        Ceramic Braces
  •         Lingual Braces
  •        Invisalign


Metal braces/Traditional braces: -

When anyone hears the word “braces” the first picture they could imagine is metal braces. Whereas the modern braces are with very small and less noticeable than the famous and noticeable metal braces. And new archwire with heat activated feature which use heat from our body which helps the teeth to move quickly without experiencing more pain.

Advantages: Its not expansive
Disadvantages: It is more noticeable

        


Ceramic Braces: -

Ceramic Braces are very similar to the metal braces as the are of same shape and size but the brackets present are having tooth colour that mixes with the teeth whereas in some of the braces the wires are also of teeth colour so that it is less noticeable.

Advantages: It is less noticeable in comparison to the metal braces.
                     Teeth moves much faster than Invisalign.
Disadvantages: Its is more expensive comparing to the metal braces.
                          Brackets become stained if not taken care off.
                                
                                

Lingual Braces: -

Lingual braces are same as the traditional or metal braces. But the braces are placed in the inner side of the teeth

Advantages: It is not visible from the outside
Disadvantages: It is very difficult when it come about cleaning.
                            It is more expansive than metal braces.
                            It is not comfortable initially and it takes long time to fix the teeth.
                                               
                                

Invisalign: -

Invisalign comprises of a progression of 20 to 30 specially designed, mouth monitor like clear plastic aligners. These are removable and are changed at regular intervals.

Advantages: It is mostly invisible.
                     User can eat and drink easily.
Disadvantages: It won’t work when the problem is very serious.
                         Treatment takes longer time to fix the problem.
                         It is only available for teens and adults.

                         It is not available for children.
